About me

Burçin Erdi was born in Munich. She is graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2003, in the third rank by winning Sakıp Sabancı Special Art Prize. She holds a masters of fine arts degrees from the same university. Before education of painting, she is graduated from Architectural Restoration in Mimar Sina Fine Arts University. She completed her dissertation program in art at Sevilla University, Spain, and lived in Spain for a while. She has several art awards in the painting contests including DYO, T.R. Ministry of Forestry, 3rd Şefik Bursalı Painting Contest. Erdi took part in international/national exhibitions, fairs, biennales. Her works are now in international/ national private and bank collections, museums and galleries. She continues to work at her studio in Istanbul. Works as Assistant Professor at the Department of Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts. In actively her projects and exhibitions continiues in Amerika and Turkey In her paintings where the focus is alive betweeen the struggle for survival, she draws attention to the fact that there is a cycle in kontrast, complementing each other among contrasting phenomenia such as life and death.
